The first week of 2013 offers two radically different new releases: a slasher-horror film and a political drama. Despite the variety, there may not be something here for everyone, as critical reception of the new films was lukewarm at best.
Opening today is Texas Chainsaw 3D, a sequel to the infamous 1974 horror film of almost the same name. This film continues to follow the murderous exploits of the previously-thought-dead Sawyer family in a gory enterprise worthy of its predecessor.
